Pysanky Eggs with Tory Hayward

This month I learned a new egg painting technique from the Ukraine – here are some of my work in progress photos. It was taught at City Arts in Nottingham by Tory Hayward. It was a very fun experience, you got to use hot wax on egg shells. It’s very tricky not having your egg explode, which did happen in the class. If you’re local you should go check out Tory’s exhibit at City Arts.

Holiday Cards

lino tree print and holiday cards

When I was working on one of my school projects I made lino prints of trees and I thought, “These would make really great holiday cards.” I ended up printing up a whole bunch so I could give them out before my winter break to teachers. They got a lot of compliments and I was told that if my teachers saw them in stores they would buy them for the next holiday. That gave me the idea of seeing if I could make more and sell them to you!
